Praxis Tech announces Weighted Routing, a new feature enabling merchants to set percentage-based transaction distributions across connected PSPs, with the ability to lock allocations, offering a flexible alternative to traditional sequential priority-based routing.
LIMASSOL, CYPRUS - Praxis Tech, a leading Payment Orchestration Platform connecting merchants to hundreds of payment providers through a single integration, announced today the launch of Weighted Routing, a major enhancement to its advanced routing capabilities. This new feature allows merchants to allocate transaction traffic across multiple Payment Service Providers (PSPs) using customizable percentage weights, providing an alternative to existing sequential priority-based routing.
Available today, Weighted Routing gives Praxis merchants unprecedented control over their payment flows by enabling them to intelligently balance transactions among PSPs according to predefined percentages. Merchants can easily assign specific transaction proportions to individual PSPs, for instance, 25% to PSP 1, 25% to PSP 2, and 50% to PSP 3, optimizing distribution based on performance, cost, and strategic considerations.

Weights can be configured both globally across all transactions and customized for specific routing rules when needed. The system also offers allocation locking, ensuring selected PSPs consistently receive a pre-designated share of overall transactions.
